7 Days a Week

Well if you couldn’t get it from the title, this set of songs for Q's Tips is all about the days of the week. That’s right – I found all of these great songs that have a day of the week in the title just for you. If you don’t know the days of the week by heart at this point, you will now. On rugby news, we won 5-0 against Merrimack, now giving us a record of 5-0 for the season.

On to the tips:
  • When traveling by bus for an event, make sure to have an established bus buddy so when you get on, you don’t feel that you need to find someone when everyone else is already paired up.
  • If you forget to unplug a hot device often, take a picture to remind yourself that you did unplug it; it can calm your nerves when you are worrying if you did in fact unplug it.
  • Going out on the “campus” town and don't have a place for your knight card. Put it in your shoe. You'll look extra cool when you open the door with your foot.
  • If you’re telling a joke or a funny story and mess up on the punch line, just try again! That’s when you might even get more laughs.
  • Do you want to do something cool and all your friends don’t want to? Do it by yourself because you don’t want to miss out on something cool.
  • Sing through your day instead of only talking; it’s much more fun and gets your brain thinking of how to sing each word.
  • Try out many different activities because then you can have many different stories to tell your friends.
  • Write your thoughts down so they don’t escape your mind and you’ll be less likely to forget.
  • Don’t be afraid to embarrass yourself, it’s not like you haven’t done something wrong before – laugh it out.
  • Spell out stop when stopping at a stop sign. Let’s do it together: S-T-O-P.

This straighter is clearly unplugged.
The best place for your Knight Card if you don't have a pocket.
STOP! And look at the fall foliage in the background.
I was listening to the WWPV station when a fellow DJ was playing their tunes on the air and I heard a song that was singing the days of the week. I sat back in my chair and said, “What a great idea for a playlist for Q’s Tips next week.” I have no idea how these wonderful brainstorms come up and I hope they continue. If you didn’t like the songs about Wednesday and Thursday, sorry, I didn’t like them either; there weren’t very many good selections.

In addition to playing songs with days of the week in the title, I also listed off some fun facts about Columbus Day since it was yesterday. I already knew most of the facts this website had to say since my Early Latin American history class recently covered fun facts about our friend Chris.

Columbus landed in the Bahamas 521 years and one day ago from today.
One Last Thing:

We will be playing at College of the Holy Cross on SUNDAY October 20 at 1pm. If you are in the area, come on over and support SMCRFC. This is going to be probably one of the most intense games of the season. Holy Cross has it out for us because we crushed them twice last year.
Our line outs were fantastic this weekend.
Keep this in mind as you go through the rest of the week:

Keep SMCing,
DJ Q

P.S. A special thank you to my editors Mary and Sharon for correcting the grammar and wordiness of my blog!
