Gobble Gobble, It’s Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from DJ Q! Keep listening to Q’s Tips on 88.7WWPV the Mike. Since I was supposed to have such a late class tonight, I am still able to put on a show today for all of you friends. This week was a double playlist featuring songs about being thankful and songs about home, all in preparation to go home for Thanksgiving. This week also features 10 tips that revolve around the big day.

On to the Tips:
  • Say thank you multiple times throughout the day.
  • Make a list of all of the things you are grateful for in your life and reflect how appreciative you are for them.
  • Show your gratitude for other people by telling them how appreciative you are of them, because if they didn’t already know how much you care, they will now.
  • If you can’t have alcohol because you're not 21, drink sparkling grape juice. It's just as classy and tastes great.
  • Tip for all of the seniors next year: make sure to save your swipes for Alliot so you can eat the two best meals of the year: Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
  • If you enjoy eating turkey other times during the year, buy your turkey now because the prices won’t go this low again until next Thanksgiving.
  • Don’t forget that your plate can be filled up more than once.
  • When watching the Thanksgiving football game, make funny comments if you're not a fan of football.
  • Eat all of your favorite foods at the beginning so you'll have room in your stomach for them.
  • Go to bed early on Thanksgiving so you will want to wake up early for all of the big door buster deals on black Friday.

Here is a short list of things I am grateful for in the form of pictures:
I was thankful for these things in 5th grade and I still am today.

Being on a fantastic team where we are almost another family.

A sister who loves and cares for me as much as she can.

The school that I can call my home away from home.

And some other pictures about the tips from this week:
It even has the same shape of a wine bottle, that's how classy sparkling grape juice is.
Comments make sitting though those long games worth it.

I want to put a special thank you out to my friend Sarah for making my “Q’s Tips” sign to promote my radio show. If you’ve seen them around campus, you know how amazing they were drawn. Some have even disappeared. I hope those who took them are displaying them loud and proud.

This is the best sign for a radio show on this campus!

This is the first time I’ve been home since moving out to school in August. I am very excited to see my family and relax while I am visiting home. Since we do not have a full week of break, the amount of fun and relaxation I am going to have is limited, but I’m sure many of you understand that dilemma too. Make sure you try to spend time with your family – that is what my thanksgiving is going to consist of.

My family on the island of Madeira while on vacation in the summer.

One last thing:
Next week will be the animal show. Look out for some of your favorite songs about animals and some new ones to love. This is also the last full week of school before finals begin, not the last week of the show (don’t worry yet). The tips won’t be about animals, they are random, as every other week has been.

Start thinking of all of the animal songs you know and love.
